Banff & Lake Louise TourismA member-based organization that markets Banff National Park and works with local businesses on visitor information and destination plans. It has its own board; its work does not replace Parks Canada’s decisions or a business licence. |
Town of BanffThe municipal body provides local public services and administers the Town’s business-licence rules. Parks Canada has separate park responsibilities. |
Parks CanadaThe federal park authority reports on conservation, visitor services, planning and work in Banff National Park, and administers eligible residency through its realty function. It is one authority, not a new organization for each campground, shuttle or project. The relevant office and current terms decide a specific request. |
Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission (Roam Transit)The regional public body operates as Roam Transit and provides local and regional bus services. Current trips still require the relevant route timetable, service notice and booking terms. |
Association of Canadian Mountain GuidesA professional association that sets certification and conduct standards for mountain guides and climbing instructors and runs training and assessment. Its member directory supports checks of an individual’s certification; association membership does not itself prove a current park permit, insurance or availability. |
Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley (WildSmart)A registered charity that provides wildlife-coexistence education through WildSmart, including resources for residents, visitors and frontline staff. WildSmart is a program of the Institute, not another organization. Its education does not replace current park closures or official incident directions. |
Banff & Lake Louise Hospitality AssociationA membership association that advocates for accommodation, food and beverage, and tourism businesses and works on workforce support and professional development. It represents members’ interests; it does not grant park approvals or speak for every resident or Indigenous government. |
Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (Southern Alberta Chapter)The Southern Alberta chapter conducts conservation advocacy and environmental education, including work concerning Banff National Park. Its positions are advocacy evidence, not park decisions or proof of project approval. |
Association of Mountain Parks Protection and EnjoymentA membership association of businesses, residents and recreational users that advocates on access, funding and visitor experience in the mountain parks. Its July 27, 2024 Lake Louise submission proves participation in that planning discussion. The submission states its views, not an adopted park plan or consent from other parties. |
Travel AlbertaThe provincial Crown corporation supports tourism development and promotion and provides industry research and business resources. Banff & Lake Louise Tourism’s 2026 plan names it in planned marketing collaboration. That plan does not establish a completed campaign, a funding award or permission to use every media asset. |
